High School... Jerk Jocks and Journalist Babes!
I was given this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Helena has that Chloe from Smallville Vibe. She's the editor of her class newspaper, shes a great student and she's dating the hottest guy in school. Life for Senior year is shaping up to be perfect... the only marr on this perfection? Daniel Bellamy, the high school asshat who has tormented her for years, now the photographer on her paper.
It seems everywhere she turns, there he is, pushing her into swimming pools, flashing a camera in her face.. criticising her for dating Jay, the gorgeous quarterback but the longer time goes on and the shine on Future Prom King Jay's crown starts dull.. and he's often too busy checking out own reflection to notice her. Helena begins to realise that some of Daniels comments about Jay and the dark underbelly of her school are right... and when Football Star Jay tries to coerce Helena into sending some racey snaps and she refuses. The romance of the year, quickly sours.
When Jay follows through with his threats and throws Helenas reputation into the Wood-chipper, it seems the only person who can help her is the bad boy she always considered her nemesis. Reluctantly she accepts his assistance...but why is he so eager to risk the wrath of the Sunny Springs Administration.... surely it could be JUST for her?
