Eases the Transition to Empty Nesting
The transition to being an empty nester after 18+ years of having children in the home can be extremely difficult and is a huge lifestyle change. This book helps to ease that transition. The author does an excellent job helping you reconnect with your purpose and identity beyond that of being a parent and enjoying this new phase of your life. Definitely a great listen for anyone approaching or struggling with the empty nest stage.

What to Expect When They Finally Leave Home
I don’t think any parent is prepared for the emotional rollercoaster that comes when your kids leave home. That’s why I think this book is important, because it will really help you navigate the overwhelming emotions and uncertainty that come when the house gets quiet and your kids start their next chapter.
But just because your kids are grown doesn’t mean you can’t have an exciting new chapter of your own. What I loved most is how the author doesn't just focus on the sadness or loss—she gives you tons of practical advice on how to fill that empty space with purpose.
It’s packed with tips on rediscovering yourself, whether that means picking up old hobbies, learning something new, or even taking on a new career or volunteer work. And it’s also chock full of real-life examples that made me feel like I wasn’t alone. They also helped me change my focus about this transition and turn it into something positive in my life.
If you’re dealing with the empty nest or just starting to think about it, this book will be a real help. It’s not just about surviving your kids leaving home, is about exploring and enjoying the freedom that it brings. Highly recommended.

Great job on a great audiobook
There's a lot of misconceptions about what an empty nest really is. Allow Charlotte Vaughn to read Jill Martin's understanding of what an empty nest really is, as well as how to change lifestyles after the kids leave.

Much needed
Honestly so wholesome, and so healing to the soul. This is what I needed, and it's what every parent needs. It can be sad being an empty nester but this paints it in a new light.

Another phase of life
This is just another phase of life, one I am not looking forward too, though I have a ways to go. But I think it's always good to prepare for inevitable things like this.
