So actually the story was quite good, although not sure where the ‘taboo’ title comes from…??? A few odd annoying parts (why would event planners be looking after guests as a resort?!?) but other than that a relatively good plot.
The narration on the other hand was so annoying and jarring - the story is told from the main female characters point of view but narrated by a male. I’m not against singular male (or female) narration but it was very difficult to distinguish between the two lead character sentences, which at the end of the day ruined it for me. The male narrator actually had a really good voice so not his fault, just poor thinking from the audiobook cast planning :(
