Summary
This mountain man knows his way around the woods. And how to use his hands.
Jenna: I’m a big city girl hiding out in the tiny town of Whiskey River. I’m a runaway bride, hiding from my ex and my family. The shy, virgin mountain man who sells handmade wooden furniture in town doesn’t seem like he would try to control me the way my family did. He’s strange and beautiful.
Phoenix: There’s a reason I live in the woods all alone. People confuse me. Women especially. Trees don’t give mixed signals. Rocks aren’t impossible to read. I work with my hands and keep my life uncomplicated. Then she complicates things. With her, it’s not hard to let down my guard and view the world through her artist’s lens. But I’ve been burned before. A beautiful city girl will never be happy here. I know my way around the woods. Gorgeous women are a whole other story.

Jenna and Phoenix 💕
In this second book, the romance is even sweeter. Jenna and Phoenix,
who is a total introvert click. It was lovely to read about all the characters from book 1. Mountain men and their strong and beautiful women. Gotta love it and the narration makes it even better.

My Thoughts on Take Me to the Cabin
This was another very enjoyable story in this Men of the Mountain series. I found Phoenix and Jenna to be very likable characters. I appreciated that they had certain interesting similarities in their past, and yet lived very different lives. Somehow, they still were brought together on the mountain and had an instant connection. I enjoy stories like this, where the characters make lives for themselves in small/isolated towns or communities. And where they form connections that practically feel like family to help each other out. I especially liked how a certain aspect of phoenix’s relationship history was handled. His particular situation doesn’t happen often enough in the romance novels I read, but when it does, I appreciate it when it’s done well like this one. I was super happy with the overall pace and plot development and feel of this story. And the narration helped my enjoyment. Both narrators did a great job.

Mountain Men of Whiskey River #2
Wow I am loving those Whiskey River Men!
I knew that I would fall for Phoenix just as I had with Axel. Kaci has created characters that fill your heart and won’t let go. Leaving you with a want to find this group of friends and be a part of them.
Jenna shows up in Whiskey River and is trying to find a new path for her life and wants to find peace to take her photography next level in creating her new life. She meets the group of friends in the store when she first arrives in town. And Phoenix is smitten.
We know that Phoenix’s past is tremendously sad but he has accepted and chosen a life away from the hurts that pushed him away from it. He really falls hard for Jenna and accepts her request for building her furniture for her new home. Then we see these two really open up to each other and their relationship develops as he builds her furniture and she interviews him for her book she wants to write about life in the Montana wilderness.
Both of these characters have pasts that surprisingly aren’t all that different and we see that as the story develops. Both yearn for a simpler way to live away from the big cities. They just have to find their way to their future and it turns into something rare and special.
It was interesting having a male innocent in this book. Rather refreshing really. These two were amazing together and the story flows really nicely, we see her past relationships changing for the better as well. And we see Axel
and Emelie help this couple get together too.
I’m really excited for this small town community and the friends that have become family to one another. I can’t wait for their other single friends to find their own special person.
The narrators were new again as in the last book. But I loved how they were cast into the roles of Jenna and Phoenix and they really made it so enjoyable and entertaining to hear the story.

take me
Brilliant dual narration from Lacie Glennox and Walker Williams. Just perfect.
Jenna has moved to Whiskey River to get away from her cheating ex-fiancé and to finish her book of photos of the area. She meets Phoenix and is attracted to him. Phoenix is living off the grid and enjoys his privacy.
This is a slow burn grow romance, both having to fight their pasts. Loved how old characters are brought in.
Brilliant book, with heat, steam, great characters and plot.

Billionaire Mountain Man Romance
Take Me To The Cabin by Kaci Rose is a billionaire mountain man romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Lacie Glennox and Walker Williams. This is the second book in the Mountain Men Of Whiskey River series.
This is the second book of Kaci's that I have read, and it won't be my last. The relationship between Jenna and Phoenix is fast paced but I loved them together. I really enjoyed getting Jenna, Phoenix, and Emily's points of view throughout the book.
I can't wait for the next book in the series Take Me To The Lake to be released on audio so I can get Cash and Hope's story.
Walker and Lacie did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like instant connection romances, mountain man romances, or contemporary romance.

Ah, these men of Whiskey River!
Here I thought no one could possibly top Axel. That is until Phoenix is introduced to me. What a man. A quiet, man, he came to the mountain at the age of eighteen. Life gave him a curve ball and rather than basque in the limelight, he wanted out. Now years later, he is alone, in a small community of friends. When he sees Jenna though, his entire life changes. Jenna is looking for to start over, away from her family and ex-fiance. The mountain calls to her, able to take the pictures she loves and give her the time to write. But will these two find a common ground and will Jenna be willing to give up her city life forever? Ah, Phoenix. He may be quiet, but when he does speak, it's meaningful. Jenna is working through her issues, and I love the process show goes through to realize her path. Plus we get to see Alex & Emelie! This is fun, and leaves me wanting the next in this series.
Lacie Glennox & Walker Williams are our narrating team and they give a performance that fits the story perfectly. Glennox provides us with Jenna, confused, lustful, frustrated and loving. Each emotion is easily felt, she brings her to life. Willa's has a tone in his voice that is like velvet. He brings out the masculinity in these mountain men, and makes them easy to fall for. Loved their portrayal of this book!
