I enjoyed the characters in this story. I’m not a fan of all the extra shifters like Gophers and coyote etc. However I still enjoyed the story. I love a happy ending.

Katrina refuses to bow to bullies particularly the bully that is Maddox, alpha of a rival pack. Kidnapped and a hostage pawn in negotiations Katrina certainly doesn't want to go back to her overbearing stepfather but is she really falling for Maddox?

Katrina is strong and sassy - she needs to be because before too long she is about to find out her pack, her stepfather has certainly not been playing fair and has not been truthful - can love of a person and love of a pack win the day?

I loved this Timber Valley book, a great listen.

Katrina Hagan's mother is terrible, she is more concern about prestige than the happiness and well-being of her daughter. Good thing she had Maddox and other people could depend on when she needed it most. Love the storyline with just the right amount of sweet, steam and suspense.
