About this listen
Their lesson plans didn't include love. But that's about to change....
When Martin Krause arrives at Rose Owens's high school, she's determined to remain chilly with her new colleague. Unfriendly? Maybe. Understandable? Yes, since a loathsome administrator gave Rose's beloved world history classes to Martin, knowing it would hurt her.
But keeping her distance from a man as warm and kind as Martin will prove challenging, even for a stubborn, guarded ice queen. Especially when she begins to see him for what he truly is: a man who's never been taught his own value. Martin could use a good teacher - and luckily, Rose is the best.
Rose has her own lessons - about trust, about vulnerability, about her past - to learn. And over the course of a single school year, the two of them will find out just how hot it can get when an ice queen melts.

The narration was good too, really made the characters come to life. The only difference I'd prefer would be a male narrator for Martin's pov.
Deep, fun, flirty and more...

I love that we had characters in their 30s /40s both have been married before and content (not necessarily happy) in their life .
Rose is still holding on to from her childhood upbringing being poor and judged for it . Martin was an outcast in his own family and never felt he could be himself non his marriage .
Rose has a rule never get close to her colleague and that goes double dor new recruit Martin who been given some of her favourite classes however maybe these two have more in common than they realise and find themselves drawn to each through their shared passion of their jobs .
Really lovely story well narrated that really has you feeling their insecurities , their happiness and their attraction for each other.
Side note Rose mother in law and father in law are hilarious and had me laughing out loud knowing numerous occasions with their antics
If you looking for a quick fast paced read with a sweet story and plenty of comedic moment I highly recommend giving this a listen

While it was very well written, which says a lot about Olivia as a writer, Teach Me was an extremely boring story with an even more boring plot.
To be honest, I struggled right from chapter 1, but pushed myself, hoping it would pick up and get interesing. Alas, I gave up at chapter 8. At that stage, I didn't think it could get better.
The leading man and woman - Martin and Rose had no personality. I found both of them quite unattractive, and I am not talking about their physical descriptions, more like, their none existent personalities.
There was too much of the narrative going on, and the little dialogue there was, was boring and separated with too many pauses to go into long narratives.
I know this story was based in a school and around the US academics and curriculum, but it was ridiculous for the writer to delve so deeply and consistently into it, I was lost, diconnected and bored out of my mind, and that's not just because I'm in the UK.
The narrator didn't help matters. Her accent and tone were boarderline sluggish. She dragged on her words and sounded bored throughout.
I am sorry to be so negative, but this book just didn't do it for me!!
Extremely Boring!!
