Summary

Come on my journey. Look at where man's come from. I was working in retail in 2017.
You might know Mo as the critically acclaimed stand-up comedian, BAFTA-winning presenter, Masked Singer judge and social media mega star. But do you know the moments that really made him? Opening up on the turning points, the good times, the challenges and the lessons learned, this is Mo as you've never seen him before.
Journeying through childhood memories in South London, Mo reminisces about school days and old-school raving, and takes us behind the scenes of his first comedy gigs, the creation of the original Geezer, selling out national tours and becoming one of TV's most in-demand stars. Share the moment that Mo decided he wanted to be a comedian, the moment he went viral, the moment he realised he was famous (and how to deal with it), the moment his Netflix special dropped, the moment he won his BAFTA and the moments he still has to come.
In among the laugh-out-loud observations, life lessons and candid storytelling, there lies the bigger influences in Mo's life - the unsung heroes of the Black British comedy scene, the power of community and the feel-good legacy he wants to create.

A fine listen...
A fine listen but a slightly premature memoir... I look forward to reading the next instalment in 5+ years :)

Enjoyed the read Mo.
I really enjoyed the book and how Mo worked so hard to get to where he is now. I applaud him for trying to bring up other black comics with him. Everything Mo talks about is to do with representing his community and making his people proud, yet when I looked him up to see who his girlfriend is, she is a white woman. I really didn’t get that part Mo. After all the pro black talk in the book, you are not with a sister. Why?

Magic Moments
This was a genuine bio from a man who came up and still humble to it. he brought back memories of many childhood memories before the new generation got spoiled with modern technology.
By the time this was finished I wish I had booked a ticket to see this guys stand up so next time he's live I will and that will for me complete this journey 👏🏿

This book is really really good. I was one of those people that came to Sunday Show to watch Mo perform so seeing his success and hearing his story is not only heart warming but inspirational!

Honest and Funny
I loved Mo’s story. Being a South Londoner I can really relate to him.
He deserves all the continued success. Well done.
