Good content, dreadful narration

This audio book covers a broad range of themes relevant to motorbike riding and will appeal to bikers with a breadth of experience and levels of riding skills.
But the writer should have allowed a professional to narrate the audio book, as his ability to read aloud is no better than a six-year-old. In particular, his lack of pauses between discrete sections (other than chapter breaks) is quite astonishing, with no empathy for the listener’s need to recognise the end of one topic and the beginning of another. To my British ears, he also manages to turn “motorcycle” from a four syllable word into a near incoherent two syllables - three at best. Maybe to north American listeners this doesn’t jolt and is of no consequence. But I found it quite irritating.
In summary, the book is a good read but the audio version can be a frustrating listen.
