About this listen
Life was back to normal, but then the Trio showed up.
After the crazy events of the dog days of summer, Willow’s life was mostly back to normal. She was back to small-town veterinarian life, with a dash of witchiness tossed in for good measure.
But then a strange group of witches and their guards shows up on her farm. Aunt Dru is acting all weird and secretive. And, apparently, Willow needs to be tested to see if she can keep her power. The big dog of the group, Crone Marian, is particularly scary.
But soon enough, there’s another murder in tiny Superior Bay. Now Willow has to contend with being a suspect while she tries to dance around Aunt Dru’s moods like a cat on a hotplate.
Can Willow unravel all the secrets and keep her own life on track? Or will she succumb to the killer and be dead as a drowned rat herself?

Pet's, murder and witch craft
Pet's, murder and witch craft, what more can I say other than I loved it. This author always and I mean always manages to come with new and entertaining stories that are sure to delight and this book is no exception. To be honest if the cover attracts your attention then you will probably like it because it is just like the picture tells you full of animal's, magic and a fun cozy. I loved the paranormal side to this story and I think every pet owner has wished at some point that they could understand there fur baby, it adds a fun element to the story. The characters are just magical and with so much going on they certainly keep you listening to find out what is going to happen to them next. There is also drama in the love life department as things get complicated for Willow but it is actually the mystery that I really liked with this book. There was plenty of suspects and you learnt more about Willows relationship with magic. Just a good book that I recommend.
Willow never expects that finally in bracing her witch powers would land her in trouble but that is exactly what has happened when the Trio arrives at her farm. The three witches, The Crone, the Crux and the Key are in charge of all the witches in the area and need to assess if Willow is a danger to others or can receive all her powers. The Crux and the Key seem to be on her side but Willow decides that she will have to go win over the elderly Crone by paying them a visit at there hotel. Not long after arriving the Crone is found dead and fingers point at Willow. With a member of the Trio dead it sends the magical community into a tail spin because nobody has ascended to take her place. A new committee is formed and finding Willow guilty of the murder they strip her of her powers. Can Willow find the killer with no magic powers or her animal friends help?
I liked the narrator. She did a magical job of bringing the story to life.
