About this listen

June 1604. When the emaciated body of a vagrant is found on the edge of the moor, physician Gabriel Taverner's verdict is death from natural causes. But is all as it seems? Who was the dead man, and why had he come to the small West Country village of Tavy St Luke's to die cold, sick and alone?

Then a discovery found buried in a nearby field throws a strange new light on the case...and as they search for answers, Gabriel Taverner and Coroner Theophilus Davey unearth a series of shocking secrets stretching back more than 14 years.

interesting well read
story,, as the story moves forward you get drawn in to the tale, love the historical aspect that highlights how these situations may have been dealt with is it me or did Oliver Cromwell's men get a very early mention ???

i really enjoyed this book. The narrator's voice was perfect and am becoming a big fan of this author.

Addictive

The plot line in the first book was ok with a really rather weak ending this book however is just weak. The narrator does a great job with a bad book and the author appears to have a rather immature obsession with genitalia and sex that runs through both books.. dont waste your money/credit
