Excellent story and series
I have enjoyed all of the books in this series so far. This one drawing together threads from the previous books. A great craic altogether! Dark, sad, rich, intelligent, surprising and exploring all too true themes of abuse within the Catholic Church. Characters real and authentic for the era portrayed. Moving and well written. The audible versions, like listening to a gripping radio play. Excellent listen.

Fabulous crafted story
Artful, sensitive and gritty story based on historical reality of abuse in the Catholic Church. But intermingled with the joyous human spirit born out of poverty and and repression. The characters were amazing and you were drawn into the situation and story by the artful narration which was superb.

Captivating!
Thoroughly enjoyed this series, I wish it didn't have to end! You become part of the Street & it's people yourself. It would be lovely it it was made into a TV drama.

Great story!
Thoroughly enjoyed listening to this! Narrator really brings characters to life. This is the third book in the series. All are good but it makes
Sense to listen to the other books before this one. Will look out for more from this author 👍🏻

Brilliant
I just loved this series of books about Irish catholic people living in Liverpool. The characters all came alive and I just adored the banging of the mops to signal the women of the street to gather, the endless cups of tea. The poverty and hardship. Brilliant.
