Where does The Benevent Treasure rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I found this story more exciting than perhaps Through the Wall which is the most recent Miss Silver book I have listened toWhich scene did you most enjoy?
The opening scene where Candida is rescued - this sets the tone nicely and introduces us to two of the main characters years before the murder story begins.Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
When I first read this book many years ago I found it to be pleasantly thrilling and creepy - there's nothing like cobwebbed cellars to enhance a crime novel!A story truly set in the past - nicely creepy!

Not the best for me

There are no redeeming qualities to it, no easily likeable characters, even the likeable characters are blind in the backdrop of this story!
I would only say, “ listen to this one because I’ve already listened to the others, you may as well!” Especially if, like me, you have to read an entire series! But otherwise if you can read it I believe it’s free because it’s in the public domain - because I honestly can’t recommend it, for any other reason.
The narrator, as always, it’s very good! She never lets you down.
Typically and typical!
