About this listen

In an East Berlin basement a physicist toils to right the wrongs of the past.

Dr Rudi Kessler is plagued by nightmares of his childhood, caught between a desperate and dying Fatherland and a merciless, despotic Motherland. But some nights, the nightmares are ushered away with dreams of a girl. A girl he swears he knows. A girl he loves.

In a future dystopian Britain, Olga Felsen suffers under the jackboot of German imperialism. After nearly losing herself to the depravity that lurks beneath Reich’s wholesome veneer, Olga and her rescuer embark on a race across deserts and seas to try to save the world from Rudi’s misguided actions, and Otto must intervene in a weapon capable of flattening an entire city.

Each will be betrayed, their worlds torn down around them.

Each will change the course of history.

And each somehow knows that this is not the first time they have lived this life.

Highly recommended read!

Keeps your attention throughout the book and is well written.
The author leaves the reader eager to find out what will happen next, and the book has lots of unexpected twists - I will be going straight to purchase the next in the trilogy, can't wait to find out how this ends!
Here's hoping that Mr JG Jenkinson will continue to write after this series too!

Entertaining, gripping and engaging!

This is a time travel adventure set in WW1, Cold War Berlin and a future in which Germany rule Europe.

A strong female lead. I couldn’t bare to stop listening, sometimes I sat on my driver long after arriving home just to find out what happens.

Exciting and Interesting Alt. History

Interesting storyline centered around the concept of time travel and the effects it could have on the past and present. The characters are all fleshed out well which is good because there are several intertwined stories which sometimes converge and sometimes don't which is also a good thing really. Some characters are there to define the world that has been changed and some are trying to change it so you get different perspectives of what is happening. Not everyone is a time travelling hero, many characters are just normal people/soldiers doing their duty without realizing the greater events happening. I really enjoyed the time travel concept, especially in a world where everything is multiverse this and that, I guess this is a bit more Terminator where agents keep getting sent back to try to fix things that have been broken by other time travel shenanigans. Very enjoyable, can't wait to read the next book.
