Summary
She wanted a birthday surprise, just not the one she got…
The last thing Sally Summers expected from her husband on her special day was that he’d leave her for a Latvian lap dancer half her age. So with her world in tatters, Sally jets off to Turkey for some sun, sea and sanctuary.
The Blue Bay resort brings new friends and the perfect balm for Sally’s broken heart in gorgeous Dubliner James. He’s just the birthday present she needs. And when the chemistry between them continues to spark as the holiday ends, Sally wonders if this is more than just a summer fling.
But James has scars of his own and Sally isn’t quite ready to turn her back on her marriage. This birthday might have changed everything, but what will the next one bring?

LOVED IT!😂🤗😁💯♥️
First of all I LOVE gabrielle the narrator! She is my favourite narrator 💯🗣she really really suits funny books defo! I got this book because of her after listening to her in the “why mummy drinks” series and i was her fan since then🥰♥️and she was amazing in this book too!!!🙌🏽 I really enjoyed this book sooooo much, i will be getting more from this author for sure! I thought the story was really good and the humour was BRILLIANT! Yes theres LOTS of bad language, but thats needed to make it as funny as it is😂💯so if you don’t like swearing then def don’t get this book, i saw someone saying that they didn’t like the way the daughter spoke to the parents, but its fiction and it’s only to add to the humour, I thought that made it really funny. I am a fussy customer and I really enjoyed this so im giving it FULL stars all round!😁👍🏽💯🤗thank you audible!♥️xx

Great Storyline.. But spoilt by swearing throughout!!
Absolutely loved this story.. With great narration by Gabrielle Glaister... But the 16yr old daughter constantly swearing at her mother was disgraceful & totally unnecessary.. I personally found it difficult to listen to. It has completely put me off listening to another book from this author, which is a shame..

Good storyline
Wasn't keen on swearing or sex scenes but enjoyed the story line and comedy elements, won't add the author to my collection as presume all her books in the same language

Great easy listening!
It doesn’t matter the plot was a bit predictable. I cried half of the story, laughed the other half. Absolutely love it.
