About this listen
Once upon a Regency time, an author created a family....
But not just any family. Eight brothers and sisters, assorted in-laws, sons and daughters, nieces and nephews (not to mention an overweight corgi), plus an irrepressible matriarch who's a match for any of them.... These are the Bridgertons. Through eight best-selling novels, listeners laughed, cried and fell in love. But they wanted more.
And so the listeners asked the author...
What happened next? Does Simon ever read his father's letters? Do Francesca and Michael become parents? Who would win in a Pall Mall grudge match?
Does 'The End' really have to be the end?
This is a collection of Julia Quinn's funny, heart-warming 'second epilogues', which are included at the ends of each novel. This collection also includes a brand new novella about none other than the wise and witty matriarch: Violet Bridgerton herself. So get to know the Bridgertons all over again - because Happily Ever After is a whole lot of fun....

a disappointing narration
i loved the 2nd epilogues, especially having them filled out a bit more.
i did not care much for the narration. oddly, the female dialogues were less grating than the male accent.

Not as racy!
Must say I prefer the lady narrator, it doesn't feel quite right having Violet's story narrated by a chap, even though he is good.
Not as racy as the novels, but then not sure we perhaps wanted it to be as it is about the mother hen we've come to know and love.

Loved the stories, not the narration
These are great stories, but for some reason they have been narrated by someone different from the rest of the Bridgerton books and I really didn't like it. It just didn't feel right - not sure if it was because it was a man which just felt odd. In the end I listened to most of these stories in the versions that had been at the end of each of the main Bridgerton books, and only listened to this version for the content that wasn't elsewhere.

It needed Rosalyn Landor.
OK, I feel quite harsh, because the narrator was good when reading the male characters and the main storyline. His Michael was excellent. But his execution of the female characters was painful. By the time he reaches Hyacinth's story I was cringing through her lines. All the women either sound completely dim or nasal and whiny.
I feel like it would have been better continuity to keep the same narrator for the entire series.

The performance of the locutor is extremely poor
The performance is extremely poor, it sounds like an automatic computer generated voice, which of course ruins the whole story, especially the Violet novella. Where is Rosalyn Landor when you need her?!?

Another....
lovely storyline with some great antics and the characters within. The narrator wasn't as good as the previous books narrator but he was ok.

all the epilogue are good but as they are also ready on the end off all the other books. there is no reason to buy this one.

A letdown
Very awkward narrating. Why was this not done by Rosalyn Landor, like the other books?!
Glad I got to skip all the second epilogues, as I'd already heard them with the books. I mainly bought this book for the novella about Violet Bridgerton, but it was a bit of a letdown honestly. Boring story.
