About this listen
Editor reviews
Hilarious and disgusting all at once, Sucked In is the story of a boy and his appendix. When Trevor has his appendix taken out during surgery, he asks to take the squishy grey thing home in a jar. It doesn't look dead, but it doesn't look alive either. His mother is not impressed, but Trevor insists that his appendix must stay with him forever. If that seems odd, things take a turn for the really silly when the appendix escapes from its jar and goes on a rampage. This is a fun, funny listen enhanced by spooky music and Stig Wemyss's energetic narration. A wonderful choice for kids who love tales of the icky.
Critic reviews
"Hosking brings great humor to the story while maintaining dignity and charm as Chris' harried parents and classmates encounter a fantasy that contains some believability, as well. Bolinda Audio deserves kudos for producing a charming story and an important lesson for listeners to hear at an early age." ( AudioFile)
