About this listen
Eight of Shakespeare's most celebrated plays have been specifically adapted to introduce young listeners to his works. Based on the work of E. Nesbit, these classic retellings capture the drama and flavor of each original play, while simplifying plot and detail.

Simple but works. What about the narrators’s performance did you like?
Classic narrators for each play - all great.Any additional comments?
Although not always 100% true to the original Shakespeare plot, enough of it is kept, just simplified. The characters are the same and the main plot the same. The main quotes are kept but again simplified or just shortened to the key famous parts. My son, aged 11, is reading A Midsummer Night's Dream at school and this was a great addition for him to understand the plot and solidify the main characters in one sitting. I have read a better children's version of As You Like It though. I thought this was too simplified. However is probably better for younger children and as a first introduction to Shakespeare.Great introduction to Shakespeare for Kids!
