About this listen
Florrie, Daisy and Alison are friends and neighbours, living out their married lives in the quintessential English village of Lower Amblegate, where, it seems, everyone knows everything about everybody.
They share laughter and tears and divulge their deepest secrets...but a huge scandal is brewing. As rumours start to circulate, the gossips go into overdrive, rocking marriages and revealing the women have much more in common than just neighbourly bonds....

Great Storyline
The storyline was great with very interesting twists. The only thing that let it down was the end - I felt it was wrapped up very abruptly. The narrator was excellent.

A real page turner
Great little story that built the foundation then the excitement that didn’t stop until it all came back together beautifully right at the end. Great narration as well.

Beautiful cover
The cover is better than the story. Cute and quaint, small town, British romance. We follow 3 friends and their marital problems in a small town where gossip is out of control. There are many funny moments and I love the sarcasm, but there are too many ridiculous and boring moments too. So, I was underwhelmed.
The narration was excellent, and it's free on plus Catalogue audible and KU too.

A thoroughly enjoyable listen
I am a mystery thriller fan but like something a little lighter now and then, this was just what I needed! Light hearted and funny, laughing to myself while listening in the car, sure the other drivers thought I was bonkers.

Jilly Cooper, toned down, meets Kent middle class!
Firstly, I have to say that I did enjoy this. I certainly wanted to listen to the end (that sounds unkind l, but I don’t mean it that way).
The story centres around three friends who live next door to each other - all very different characters, slight stereotypes or cliches amongst them. … and their gossipy neighbours in the village. … and the bedhopping, husbands and Neighbours.
Overall, it was fun and light read. Quite a few twists and turns and things hinted at, so cleaverly written.

Lost its way
I struggled with this audio, it started ok and then the story went crazy and totally unbelievable. And flori became so irritating and pathetic I couldn’t stand her character. I’m annoyed I carried on with it

Love Debbie Viggiano Listen 3🌟🌟🌟
Debbie Viggiano is fast becoming one of my favourite authors along with Portia Macintosh, Heidi Swain & Gill Sims just to name a few 😀
I am used to Penny Scott-Andrews narrating many books and she did a good job.
The story felt quite quick to be honest, the Story was over in 3 hours but maybe that is my listening speed. This felt like a good Chicklit short story.
I am glad that I got to listen to it for free from the Plus catalogue.
Yes I do recommend this book but I wouldn't use a credit on it.

Funny and modern griping story
This story is funny modern with black humour. There is some strong language, that is whole appropriate and necessary. You soon warm to the caricatures are whole on their side. My criticism is the names of the caricatures are a little unbelievable and can be difficult to remember who is who.
