Summary

Dating has never been easy. Ever since the Georgians posted the first personal ads, finding Mr Right vs Mr Right Now has always been fraught with sexual and social tension. But as we swipe ourselves into oblivion, do we have it any easier today?

From suing a Victorian lover for breaking off your engagement to the 60s quest to date beyond class, race and gender rules, Nichi Hodgson's lively and intriguing history of amorous relationships may leave you grateful that you love in an era of swiping - not swooning.

Cheeky, clever listen!

A fun and lively way to absorb an original history of relationships - with plenty of entertaining impressions and rude detail thrown in for good measure, I thouroughly enjoyed bounding through the different ages of dating with the author.

Informative, fun and engaging

I devoured this audiobook over a couple of days as I found it so enjoyable! The author narrates it herself and I felt that added such depth to the already excellent stories. From a historical standpoint I am more informed on matters dating over the years than ever before and am armed with a ton of trivia to share at dinner parties!
