About this listen

When teenage sisters go missing in the mysterious "Bennington Triangle" of Vermont, an area renowned for its disappearances and strange occurrences over the past 100 years, FBI agent Jack Juarez brings K-9 handler Jamie Flint and her dog Phantom in to assist with the search.

When Jack realizes the case shares haunting similarities with the murders of the missing girls' aunts 10 years before, it becomes clear that he and Jamie are dealing with much more than two girls who simply wandered off the beaten path.

That was a pleasant surprise

For quite a while I danced around this book. I love K9 action suspense and add a bit of romance, even better. But the dogs are the most important parts. This one compelled me but also made me hesitant due to some extra addition of a bit of paranormal. Used far too often now in stories where it’s not needed. I also disliked the cover, it confused me away from the blurb.

Running low on K9 books I finally took the jump and loved it. Everything fit to the story and now I’m hooked to look into other books by the author and definitely in this series. Which proves that you should never judge a book by its cover and also never let a hint of something you’re not into lure you away from a book which fits all the rest of the bill. Always good to keep an open mind.

Well I wasn’t expecting that

New author to me. Kept me riveted from beginning to end. Some elements of ‘other world’ that generally are an automatic no to choosing a book but didn’t realise until completely absorbed into the story so I rolled with it. Still not sure how I feel about that bit but it didn’t stop me enjoying the story and narration and have the next one lined up. Thank you Jen.

Good book

Very enjoyable. Just a little lost at times when time lines clashed. Didn't see the culprit coming. The author kept them well hidden. Not for the claustrophobic as there is lots of time underground, still not sure how victims got there. The paranormal side is low key but integral, good read.

Almost great.

The story outline was fine but the I found it very drawn out and tedious at times. Some of the procedures were relied too heavily on artistic license and spoilt it somewhat.

Good

Good, enjoyable a bit scary. Not my usual but thought I’d give it a try. I liked the characters and dogs. Crazy people but you get them a plenty.

Terrible , don’t bother.

Dreadful narration. Ridiculous plot , supernatural drivel.
I am just glad I did not waste a credit on it.
