About this listen

Rule number one: Don't fall for jerks. Rule number two: Don't fall for your best friend's brother. Oops. Too late.

I'm Luciana Wright. Everyone calls me Lucky, but when it comes to love, I'm anything but. I have a long history of dating the wrong men. You know the ones I'm talking about. The beautiful, charming guys who are quite literally too good to be true. The ones who are impulsive in love and prefer short flings over long-term relationships. I'm talking about the jerks. The guys who taste so good, but are so very bad.

After going through the most ridiculous breakup in the history of breakups, I thought I'd learned my lesson. I officially put myself into jerk rehab and committed to changing my ways. But, let's be real here, love is never that easy. Especially when an arrogant, charming, he-devil of a sexy alpha man gets involved.

Aussie accent. Tanned skin. Muscular, surfer bod. Gorgeous brown eyes. And the kind of sexy smile that brings women to their knees. Oh, did I mention that he's also my best friend's brother?

Yeah. This story, my story, it's a real doozy you guys.

The day I stopped falling for jerks, I met Oliver Arsen - the biggest jerk of all.

The execution fell short for me

okay so I love MM author duo, I love audiobooks, I love CR insta love and I love the premise but holy cow, can we stop the podcast giggles?
So I know you (the potential buyer) has no idea what I'm talking about but just go with me here.
The premise is the basic reporter/podcaster being asked to cover a surfing tour, which is the "fish outta water" troupe and falls for the star athlete, all while travel the world, write articles, books and do podcasts about old boyfriends. Yeah Wonder Woman here.
This is a duet though and a CR contemporary romance) and rather then continue the story where book one let off. MM decides that book 2 will be the same story but told from the hero's POV. I loved the concept even though its not a new idea but even though the idea and story was good, the narrator execution drove me crazy. I loved the extra effort but the written in giggles drove me crazy.

Where is book 2???

This is one of the best audiobooks out there. Then narration is nothing short of fantastic, the story is brilliant and overall I give it 10 out of 10 or in this case five out of 5 lol.

My only big and I do mean BIG gripe is that book 2 does not seem to be available on audible UK or even audible.com, Book 1 stops midway, it literally leave you hanging off a cliff. So not to be able to get book 2 ruins it quite frankly. I am seriously hoping that this is going to be remedied and fast! LOL

No HEA

Just a heads up that if you like a happily ever after, I assume it comes at the end of the next book. This one didn't wrap up nicely, and it wasn't good enough to pay for the next instalment.

Not the usual Max Monroe

I'm not sure that I'm a fan of the podcast way of writing, it may have been because it was an audio book that made it strange. The story was good but because of the style of writing it didn't give me the feels that other Max Monroe books do.
I did not enjoy the narrator's Australian accent.
