Wow

Loved the story, there's a lot of twists. What can I say without giving away the story? I couldn't stop listening until the end!

A thoroughly enjoyable series of books

I started this series after seeing the first film. It is a brilliant Young Adult series and will entertainment fans of: the hunger games, divergent series and the mortal instruments series. All of which i have enjoyed immensely.

Well worth the purchase

Bought The Maze Runner and then immediately followed this with the Scorch Trials and Death Cure. Very well read, pacy and gripping. Have read the books a couple of years back and listening to these audible books made me realise how much better they are than the films (although I enjoyed those too).

Great story, poor writing and performance

I loved the story in this and the other maze runner books, but I don't think they are well written. Constant contradictions and repetition. "It is not humanly possible to experience more pain, but then suddenly Thomas hurt even more". That writing combined with a narrator who has all the range and enthusiasm of someone reading a phone book makes a great story hard work to follow.

But ultimately a really interesting story, so I'm glad I stuck with it.

My favourite so far.

This has been my favourite book in the series so far (not to say that the others were in any way bad) Mark Deakins did a great job bringing the book to life. Definitely worth a read.
