About this listen

"Burn This Book...". In his postscript, the author asks listeners to destroy this book. Why? Find out as you follow the main character in an adventure of the mind and spirit. A burned-out businessman takes an unplanned vacation to his mountain lodge and meets a strange visitor who issues a startling summons. He is to leave his whole life behind and journey into the unknown on a mission which may have world-changing impact.

Faced with the agony of this decision, he realizes that he may not have any choice against the hand of destiny. Join him on the path to discovery as he encounters teachers, guides and ragged shamans who change the way he sees the world forever. Who knows? You may emerge from this tale with a different perspective, too.

Remembering my Awakening!

This book is beautifully written. You feel reconnected to your own conscious Heroine's journey of awakening. When you are feeling lost, a little despairing with how the world is right now, this book is just what the doctor ordered..... to pursue new territory of aliveness and hope. Thank you Jacob for reconnecting me to my awakening journey.....mine was of the slow kind over 25 years..... but I connected all the dots again listening to your book. Breath and surrender and enjoy the fire!

Pulled in to the book and didn't want it to end

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Divine Arsonist?

When Jacob was sent out into the forest by Jack and became naked inside and out.

What about Jacob Nordby’s performance did you like?

A great reading voice and good expression and a sense of kindness that was pleasant to listen to.
There were a couple of technical glitches hence 4 stars but they didn't interfere with the enjoyment of the book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the helpers burned Jacob's most important physical possessions

Any additional comments?

At the beginning I was unsure if I was going to like this book but it kept drawing me in and I felt a deep resonance with the story of Jacob's journey of self discovery to a different way of being. It kind of made me feel a little uncomfortable because in a strange way it felt close to home from a personal perspective. I will definitely be reading and listening to future Jacob Nordby books!
