About this listen
Luca Bassani enjoyed a quiet, ordinary life. As an IT guru, most of his time was spent engrossed in technology and away from people. Now all that’s changed. As the one man who is a compatible donor, he’s suddenly essential to keeping his alpha healthy and preventing him from succumbing to The Slow Death. But serving his alpha, Zander Kingston, is something Luca is proud to do.
Diesel Jones is an enforcer. Following in his father’s footsteps, he has big boots to fill. But he’s focused and dedicated to the East Territory pack and avoids anything that distracts him from his duty. His dedication, together with his brawn and brains, ensure his reputation as being the best at his job.
When a possible threat on Alpha Zander Kingston’s life is uncovered, tensions rise within the pack. Security is increased and Diesel is assigned as the personal bodyguard for Luca. They find themselves paired against the enemy while battling their growing attraction.
Diesel must keep Luca safe and ensure his alpha’s life by doing so. But pack rivalry is strong and when threats become actions, suddenly Diesel is in the race of his life to ensure the future of the pack and to save the person who has come to mean everything to him.
The Final Salvation is part of the Four Packs Trilogy. While it can be listened to as a standalone, to ensure maximum enjoyment, it is best listened to in series order.

©2022 BL Maxwell/ Nic Starr (P)2022 BL Maxwell / Nic StarrI am so invested in this series now. I hope there will be a spin-off series, as I have enjoyed this immensely.
First, you would not believe that two authors wrote this book. Not once did I think there wasn't a seamless transition between each part.
Second, great world, character and story building. It is a unique story line and has kept me gripped all the way through. Again, not going to give anything away, but trust me, it's well worth a read.
So if you like shifters, MM and a good storyline, you will love this series.
Good narration, but I had to speed up the narration to 1.35 on audible.

The narrator did a good job, but his voice was too slow and measured for me. After I adjusted the speed up to 1.2x, it was just right.
I received a free copy of this audiobook via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Great conclusion to the series

Luca provides the blood transfusions needed to keep his Alpha from succumbing to The Slow Death (TSD) and we met him in the first book. If something happens to Luca his Alpha could die. Diesel is an enforcer for Luca’s pack and he is assigned to keep Luca safe after their Alpha is threatened. Both Diesel and Luca feel that spark of a fated mate when they first meet but they don’t really understand what it is a first and it takes a bit before they both acknowledge what their wolf already knows.
I think this story progressed at a nice pace. I think the thing that bothered me the most (but didn’t really impact my enjoyment of the book) was the database that Luca was working on so that all of the packs could more easily find compatible donors to help those afflicted with TSD. After the initial parts about him working on it there really was no more mention. I can’t say a lot more because I think it would be too spoiler-y.
Guy Veryzer does a good job with this audiobook but his voice isn’t for everyone. I have to increase my listening speed to 1.5 because he narrates way too slowly for my ears.
A copy of this book was provided to me at my request and my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author or narrator.
A nice conclusion to this series.
