Summary

Ring for the angels!

Sir Robert of Offord dies mysteriously just after accusing his new wife of adultery and his son-by-marriage wants the shire's new Crowner to prove the knight was murdered. Instead, Sir Faucon de Ramis discovers that a bell owned by the dead man is missing.

But who could have taken it - the daughter who loved it as a child, the knight who wants it as collateral, or the prior who wishes to restore it to its holy purpose of calling the angels?

Follow Warwickshire's new Servant of the Crown as Sir Faucon embarks on his most unusual and convoluted hunt yet.

Easy to follow but most definitely well worth listening

After finding Mel Starr and the Hugh de Singleton series and after listening to them all I was really surprised to find another set of characters and a series along the same line.
A well written and well told story. Each there own story but with the underlying joining line

The narration was excellent throughout, I loved the characters, very easy to listen to and I only hope there are more by this author.

keep with it !

the first book in the series dragged while the characters were penned and historic details and law explained but that is important for setting the scene and is not repeated in the following books. I have listened to 4 in the series now and can't wait to hear a 5th book. Fantastic series.. and I don't do reviews...

Brilliant series

As always the plot twists and turns and although I deduced part of the reveal, I was surprised at the majority of it.
Gildart Jackson is a wonderful narrator.

Great series, keeps me entertained well

I appreciate the detail which does not affect pace. Well narrated indeed except maybe for female voices which jar a little, good descriptions of characters and places . Like the development of the crowner and the historical specifics of everyday life.

Plenty of new characters

Another in a good series, growing to like a main character and the increased caste. With reasonable plot twists.

Too Shouty.

G Jackson is a very skilled narrator. His habit of shouting very loudly and very often, as a means of communicating most emotions, is too much for me to bear. I have to return this, unfinished.
