Would you listen to The Forgotten: John Puller, Book 2 again? Why?

Doubtful. I don't usually listen to the same book twice.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Puller, of course. He is always so determined to get to the bottom of things, in his own, quiet way.

What does Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

As with all their work, they really do bring the story to life. I find their voices so easy to listen to.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No one particular emotion. I just enjoyed the whole book.

What did you like most about The Forgotten: John Puller, Book 2?

Good popcorn book, whilst not one of the authors better story it is definitely worth a listen when you want to be taken out of the humdrum, but do not want to engage your brain or emotions to any great extent - you will like it, but if you have any pretensions you'll probably hate yourself for doing so

What other book might you compare The Forgotten: John Puller, Book 2 to, and why?

As others have mentioned very similar in tone and texture to both vince Flynn and Lee Childs, not a bad thing in itself
Characters can appear slightly one dimensional at times but the action is present, well thought out and scripted as with these other two authors
The Undeafeatable hero, the nod to legality and the justice system, and then the complete disregard for both of the above, and then victory supplied at the end

What about Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy ’s performance did you like?

Initially the performance did seem slightly dry, but as the book progressed the use of the two person performance and the nature of the written word came together in an effective way which did help to raise the audiobook above what it could/should have been

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not a book to be listened to for an emotional journey, a book to be heard when brain is turned off and you just want to be entertained

Worth a listen, and the author is definitely worth investigating esecially his earlier works, which to me are an improvemnt on his later stuff

Really enjoyed the story and following Puller on another adventure. I like the use of the two voice narrative, just wish they would lose the 'atmospheric' music - it's distracting and unnecessary.

Good listen for Jack Reacher fans. The central character, John Puller, is great and well thought out. Good plot and easy to listen to the narrator.

Another excellent, thrilling story from David Baldacci. Couldn’t stop listening from start to finish. Great characters, intricate storyline that keeps you guessing and to cap it fantastically read by Ron and Orlagh with some atmospheric music thrown in places. Who cares that john puller hardly gets touched as the bodies pile up on the baddies side - he is superman. the dialogue is great and the many twists and turns in the storyline keep you hooked. Highly recommended....
