I love the different characters voices and I love the mix of reality and adventure that makes yourself compare yourself and listen to the Melendys. I am not one for fantasy but love a bit of action within a book, I also love the fact that the Melendys are so normal. I feel as though I can relate myself to every character (even Cuffy). I also love how Miss Enright explains her reasonings for each character at the beginning of each book. In conclusion it is a wonderful read and I have listened to this series 3x and read it 2x. Coming from someone who has read and listened to the book numerous times I think that the characters are more like friends than fictional people to me now! I think it is a great read for all ages from 6 years old (possibly with a parent) to 15 years old.
