About this listen
The key to spiritual and emotional health is to grasp the truth of God's transforming love for us and then let that reality influence our own hearts and relationships. It seems simple, but we are experts at complicating simple things. Instead of living lives characterized by love we find ourselves trapped in cycles of shame, violence, and addiction that steal our joy and keep us from loving others - so much so that, by all indications, Christians are living no differently than anyone else when it comes to abuse rates, use of pornography, alcohol and drug addiction, and more.
Christian psychiatrist Dr. Timothy Jennings wants to release us from this prison. With powerful examples from case studies and from Scripture, Jennings shows believers who are stuck in addiction, violence, fear, and broken relationships how to experience true freedom through God's transforming love to experience greater health, fulfillment, and well-being.

Well written and Spirit filled.
I could not stopping listening Mr Jennings just nailed it and I am so glad he did. It is so important that we know God for who he truly is. Tears flowed when I got to certain chapters in the book I was touched by the testimonies of love unfeigned.
I am so glad to have listened to this book and I will be listening to it again as seeds sown need to be watered, I purchased a hard copy of the "God shaped brain" and "Could it be that simple?" For my Bible study, I know I am going have an exciting and interesting season of study. For I desire to go deeper in Christ Jesus and I believe these books will help me fulfill my goal.

A welcome re-examination of the Christian way.
This is a real tour de force, which deconstructs some common legalist paradigms in Christian theology, offering something more orthodox instead. While not perfect, it is genuinely refreshing and worth reading for the disaffected Christian or complacent church-goer in equal measure.

Love the 7 levels of moral decision making
This book really challenges many established norms in Christianity and encourages us to grow as Christians.
The 7 levels of moral decision making is a really good tool for assessing where I stand personally and what I can do to grow myself or help others around me grow.
the narration was also good. The narrator has a voice similar to Tim Jennings so I often felt it was the man himself speaking.
The part about the sancturarywas quite interesting but sadly also a bit dry. besides that part I felt the book had a really good flow and was a good listen.
