About this listen
A sweet, magical, Regency romance, inspired by Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.
While taking a solitary ramble on her father's estate, Elizabeth Bennet finds an injured woman, cares for her, and helps her return to her gypsy camp. For her exceptional kindness, Elizabeth is awarded a blessing, bestowed through gypsy magic.
Forgetting the incident, Elizabeth thinks it merely odd when she begins to receive drawings in the mail with no return address - until she recognizes these same scenes as they become true events in her life.
Through the blessing, circumstances bring Elizabeth and Jane Bennet to Ramsgate, where they meet Georgiana and Fitzwilliam Darcy, along with a charming young man named George Wickham.
Will Elizabeth's efforts to reshape future events alter her destiny?

This was fun
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. Although the timeline varies greatly from the original (and I won't spoil it for anyone) it is a clever and intelligent "take" on the P&P story. Wendy Sotis has stayed true to each character.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Equal across the board.
Which character – as performed by Veronica Leckie – was your favourite?
Again, Veronica Leckie's reading was OK.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Not really.
Any additional comments?
An enjoyable read.

A supernatural twist to P&P
If you can suspend disbelief for the central conceit of drawings that show the future, this is a thoroughly enjoyable story. I've read a great many P&P variations and Wendi Sotis has written something very fresh and different.
