this book I attribute to having a super positive birth! I listened a 3 or 4 times a week from 20 weeks, this helped me to relax I wasnt worried about birth but just in general. when labour started I was able to draw on the breathing techniques taught in this book. I could not recommend this enough!!

Great listen even being my third baby, lots of useful info on the body and how it works, but too many matter of fact statements that don’t sit right, and on top of that being read by a man talking about a woman’s body feels a little off.

This book was given to us as part of a hypnobirthing course delivered by a midwife at our hospital. I found it helpful to have the audio version too, so I could listen to it while cooking. It's really informative and commonsense, even my no-nonsense scientist husband was able to get on board! The relaxations are really good, one particularly so for sleep.
I found the male narrator a bit jarring and an odd choice to read out this female author's book, particularly the anecdotes. Maybe they wanted a contrasting voice to the relaxations.
However, if you want a grounded, well explained book, then this is good choice.

The audio book is narrated beautifully with the relaxations narrated by Katharine Graves herself. Alongside the KGhypnobirthing course this book really aids the practice and mindfulness for the run up to your birth. I made good use of the bookmarks to highlight the best relaxations for me to easily jump back and forth throughout my pregnancy. Robbin Goddard has a very nice voice. The book is super informative and has all the information on how to find the resources available to you.

The content of this book is great but it really really really needs to be recorded again the sound is awful. His voice his deep and harsh on the speakers and her voice is high and scratchy! Very hard to do the relaxation techniques because of it.

The guy voice is good I do not find it weird to have a guy narrating at all. What’s so strange is the women voice! So annoying and I cannot relax to her voice. She goes up and down in a funny way and I cannot meditate listening to her voice! Content is good and I quite enjoy it.

This book explains what hypnobirthing is and how to practice it. I had an incredible 4 hours labour experience (first baby). I was able to breathe and relax during contractions. I highly recommend this book to anyone.

This book should be essential for both parents wanting to understand the holistic birthing journey of it. My girlfriend has already gotten a lot out of it. We have the hard copy with the audio book and it’s changed how we will approach the birth. Everything you need to know about your choices for birthing
