The Lady and the Poet by Maeve Haran
I am thoroughly enjoying this book, although only on chapter 6 at present. It's descriptive, keeps your attention and well written. The only minor point is I find she reads it a bit too fast and she trips over the odd word. I like to relax when listening to an audiobook so find it a bit annoying, although it won't stop me listening :)

living history
Really enjoying the atmosphere created through the first person account of the day to day life in late Elizabethan England.Despite the occasional mis-pronunciation of unusual words the narrator holds the listeners attention and unlike many of my other purchases I have not fallen asleep or become confused due to mind wandering!I am a very slow reader but the pace of this keeps me wanting to find out more and now I have purchased a GoGear despite initial glitches partly due to small print instructions and my visual difficulties I can wander round doing jobs and walking the dogs while visiting this by-gone world and learning all about the smellier aspects of London compared to the allegedly more fragrant countryside! The characters are well crafted, possibly because the author was able to research their actual lives and put her own spin on the truth.Whether it is completely accurate I have no way of knowing but it is for me an extremely good read. If you want a change and want to dabble in history, this is a good non-boring way to start.
