About this listen
The Last Letter is a 30-year journey to make peace with the past.
Andy was born into a family with a loving mother and a violent father. His mother was his rock, his safe place, the person he cherished most. Soon after he graduated high school, she was hit and killed by a drunk driver. Plunged into a deep depression, he spent the next two decades running away from his pain. Eventually, his pain caught up with him. He was forced to confront it once and for all.
What he discovered in his healing process is that suffering can be a profound source of guidance and comfort. For much of his life, sadness sabotaged and crippled him. But he learned to transform it into vulnerability and then action.
With piercing clarity and refreshing honesty, Andy shares his story to inspire listeners to embrace pain and surrender to reality as it is, with all the healing, love, happiness, peace, and freedom that brings.

Kind, wise and transformational messages
I started to read because I also experienced loss of very close person in childhood, which shaped my life. Through this book I felt understood, supported and cared. But the message of the book is much deeper than acceptance of loss. It have deep transformational messages about life. It is enjoyable and interesting to follow till the very end.

Now is Always The Best Time to Deal with Pain
I wanted to experience "The Last Letter" as an audio title after purchasing the Kindle edition, and am so glad that I did!
It's great to hear Andy's voice in the foreword, prior to handover to the narrator. Steve McCurdy clearly worked very closely with Andy in order to successfully deliver this intimate and extremely powerful message.
If you're looking to find peace and strength through pain and vulnerability, this title perfectly complements "Can't Hurt Me" by David Goggins. I do trust that Mr Chaleff touches as many lives.

Profound story of a Western Man’s mindset about culture and understanding the other told with humility
I loved following the author through his life’s highs and lows seeking to understand himself and others better made for an exciting listen (and read).
The narrative is told with such authenticity and self recognition and deep insight. There are some thrilling moments where you feel you are learning in bwith him and how it might be possible to gather a new perspective on your own life.
I’d implore you and encourage you to take action to be in communication and care deeply about the impact you have and to complete relationships before you realise you need to! Ol
