Summary

Nightmares are plaguing Little Feather.

Is it nothing, or is it something much more sinister? When more and more people start complaining about having horrible nightmares, Miranda starts to wonder if there’s more to it. Could something supernatural be causing the nightmares? And if so, how do you stop something that you can only see in your dreams? She’s not sure, but as the only person who stands between the paranormal world and humans, it’s her responsibility to figure it out. Thankfully, she has a team of friends to help her, as well as her corgi, Hank. But when it comes down to it, will she be able to save them?

Cozy Paranormal Crime Mystery

A lovely cozy paranormal crime mystery set in a small US town.
Book 7 of Miranda Riley PI but still a lovely listen if not familiar with the series as can be listened as one off. Lovely enjoyable story and nicely read with just enough pace to keep the mystery and intrique flowing and gripping enough to be curious as to how it will end.
Small pockets of Miranda's mum Eve's backstory which will remain a mystery as to what happens until next book.

The longest night is made better with a good book

I enjoyed this paranormal cozy investigation. I wouldn't really call it a mystery as there was no suspects to question, rather the story just unfolded. There were two cases? Mysteries? to this story with the main one getting wrapped and a side story that has been playing throughout the series, which each time gets a little bit closer to the answers. This doesn't mean you have to read them in order because they do work as standalone book, I can say this because I have missed a few books but was still able to follow along. The creature/ supernatural monster was one I hadn't heard of or the usual suspects so from that perspective it was interesting but I must admit I am not really sure how they defeated or captured it but still a fun listen, especially with the human in the group Jack, trying to get his head around everything that is going on. I might have to go back a few books to learn how the secret was revealed.
Nightmares are no fun but When the whole town of Little Feather start to complain about them, Miranda knows that there must be something causing them and it's her job to put a stop to it before anybody gets hurt. But how do you fight something that isn't there? And only comes out while others are asleep. Miranda and her friends will have to move fast to bring the Nightmares to an end.
I liked the narrator. She made the story fly by with her pleasant voice.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
