Loved the plot-reader… meeeeehhh
I really liked the plot of this book. Loved the romance between the two main characters. Could have done without the cringy sex scenes but other than that a really enjoyable book.
NOW. The reader within the first five minutes I was like wow what is this southern accent. Like I get he’s a cowboy but seriously. And the British accent later nobody has spoken like that for over 70 years !!!!!
Good book bad performance

what the heck!
fantastic story idea, listened to it all. well should say struggled to listen. If this was written by a 12-15 year old girl, then it's brilliant, keep going you'll get better, excellent first attempt. If not. maybe ASDA or Walmart are looking for staff. This was absolutely the worst writing I've ever listened to. So many plot holes that are fixed by changing the truths. shame, I loved the narrator.

The idea of superpowers
I liked the idea of the superpowers and discovering the different powers they possessed. I enjoy the sci-fi part and the main idea of the story but was not keen on the highly romantic elements/ scenes (not needed and took away from the story for me) and the relationship between the two main characters could have been reconstructed (obsession/over dependence seemed over played), more empowered characters. I see what the other reviews meant about the performance but I managed to listen to the whole story.
Glad it was part of the free listening books.

Not worth it even though its free
This was one of the worst book/series of books I think I have ever listened to, was this written by a teenage girl? It would be generous to call this teen drama, the plot is paper thin, the characters one dimensional and the supposed love story between the two main characters is laughable, it was beyond cringe whenever they got into a sex scene, their relationship was toxic, for example he was overbearingly obsessive while she was so dependent it was actually offensive. This is labelled as sci-fi and sounded like a cool concept, whatever you do don't bother listening. Also the narrator is very poor and her attempt at a British accent must have been modelled on Dick Van Dyke in mary poppins, do Americans realise nobody in England actually says loverly or guvna, I cant express how much I hated this series
