Summary

Volume one of the Lake Garda Mysteries.

The Lost Lady of Limone tells of a modern-day amateur detective who solves a difficult case in Italy. Set in the beautiful Lake Garda town of Limone, our unlikely heroine is a 19-year-old girl. She does not get everything right at first but achieves her goal in the end.

Splashings of humour abound, and romance bubbles in the air.

Short but full bodied

This book might be short and I admit I don't usually go for short books not even if free as you usually are just getting to know the characters and then book is finished ( unless of course its a short story that is linked to a book series or some kind of factual book but never fiction ) but never a first book in a series of short books. A look through my rather extensive Audible library would confirm this.

I was offered this for free and the synopsis of the story intrigued me as I could not see how an author could flesh out all hinted at in such a short time so I accepted the offer. and am I glad I did - the author did exactly as promised and you have a full and rich mystery with lots of details in just over 2hrs of book.

It is so well written, no waffling or wasting words on graphic descriptions of things that we as readers can find out elsewhere but detail enough for the story.

I am writing this review after I have listened to book one and book two as I did not want to praise to the skies and tempt you t and so like me you become hooked and the author doesn't live up to book one in the second book - well they do.

I was very lucky and I have been given a few books in this series for free to review and am listening to book three as I type this - I am listening on an Alexa device and each title is a tongue twister so takes a few goes to make the A.I understand the name of the book, good learning for it.

I will happily spend my credits on the books in the series I do not have as for all they are short they are great with everything you want in a mystery novel and perfect if you want to listen to a complete book in a few hours and not feel short-changed on the world the story is set in.

The narrator Claire Nicols voice is just perfect as are her accents - the stories are set in Italy. She has a lovely smooth voice that you can listen to forever.

So should you use a credit to buy this - for me its a yes and I hope if you do you will enjoy it as much as I did........right off to review book two

Nice storyline and easy to listen to.

Enjoyed listening to this light hearted mystery set around lake Garda. Brings the resort to life and brings back memories.
Nicely narrated.

Wow

This Is Truly A Wonderful story.I think it is another example of this Author and how she writes. She writes like A dashing runaway train and just as you think you know what comes next, surprise you don't.

Enjoyable Italian Mystery.

This book started off quite slowly, and I wasn't sure that I would like it, this was exacerbated by the narrator, who , for me, didn't make the characters different enough or imbue them with sufficient passion and character.
Fortunately to he story improved as it moved on from the introduction to the mystery which is the main element of the book, I also became more used to the narration. By the end I was quite engrossed by the story and thoroughly enjoyed it.
This was too he first book by this author that I have read/listened to and I am looking forward to exploring more in this series.

Another great audiobook!

I love KT Ashbourne stories. They have believable characters who show their flaws, and the characters evolve from book to book.
