At first, I found this book a bit daft , the premise seemed whimsical, and the characters felt a little too silly. But I’m glad I stuck with it. As the story unfolded, it grew on me. What starts off as a quirky tale about a group of swimmers in a seaside town becomes a light-hearted but engaging murder mystery. The plot doesn't take itself too seriously, which makes it an easy and enjoyable listen. Jan Cramer’s narration adds a nice warmth to the characters, bringing out the humour and eccentricities in just the right measure.

The narrator has some strange intonation but I'm getting used to her after the Forset crimes series

knowing Dorset well i was interested to see how the story panned out. i was not disappointed, it developed well and was a good storyline. well written and well narrated it was a pleasure to listen to. 5 star in all respects, I bought the second and hope for more in the series. an author i had not read before but who will release more audio book i hope. i definitely recommend if you like cozy mysteries.
