Sheena is a fabulous writer and you can tell from the authenticity of her writing that she really does walk her talk. Although there is a sprinkling of magic it is the stuff that happens every day if we look hard enough. Magic is often about seeing it for what it is and Minerva certainly does this. Minerva, Isis and Ronnie are all well portrayed, and they deal with life stuff like menopause, teenage pregnancy, single parenthood so well, in a down to earth manner with a touch of crazy.
Not only has Sheena created a new series but also a new genre... let's have more Witch Lit.
If you haven't yet read this series, but have arrived at this review, then please check them out. I read the books not long after losing my Mum and they helped me through some very tough times. Great escapism.
