Great for young athletes
I wish I had this book when I was younger and ran cross country - perhaps I wouldn't have given it up! The strategies are explained well, with real life examples of professional athletes to relate to. I appreciated hearing the way the visualisation technique was explained; I knew it, but had not heard this explanation before. Now it makes more sense (and I'll be using it in other areas of my life!) The journaling method for athletes was a new technique for me. I can see how it would be powerful to use.

This audiobook is an absolute must listen for all teen athletes who are looking to solidify their focus and confidence and improve their performance. I coach high school football, and I will be recommending this audiobook to all my players in the fall rest assured. This book will give your athlete the edge.
I thought this book was excellent. All seven of my kids participated in sports growing up and I wish I could have provided the information in this book to them. The author provides strategies to improve focus and eliminate pre-event stress. Instilling the victory mindset is paramount. Having these tools that are provided in this book will give any competitor the edge for success. I also like examples the author gave of famous athletes that used these principles. Very good book

Perfect for my son!!
I got this book to prepare my son, an avid soccer player, to help him with mental fortitude and concentration, and boost his confidence and tenacity both on and off the field. The book teaches young athletes how to manage stress, visualize accomplishment, and remain composed under pressure in addition to physical instruction. The author did a great job making this book for young athletes. The strategies suggested in this book help strengthen the mind and gets you ready mentally for sports. I think it's just as important to train mentally as it is physically, and this book does a great job teaching this.
