Wonderful story and a plot that keeps you guessing to the very end, the narration was one of the best I've listened too in a long while, all narrators were excellent at the accents and expression of the book, well done!!

outstanding!!!

A fun thriller - you can imagine the coastal town and luxury that Lucy created and enjoy the story as you learn more about the characters.

Really enjoyable thriller

I liked the characters being so tangible and the baddie being so hateable. It was an interesting juxtaposition of her interest in wellness and positive energy when in fact she was so horribly evil.

The characters were so strong and well developed from the beginning.

The performance excelant, found the plot chalangeing, I read a lot of crime fiction and find the plot predictable not in this book.

Plot unbredictable

I thought I couldn’t like this book more than The Hunting Party but this has stolen number one for me. Kept me on my toes and constantly guessing and I didn’t find myself bored of one character’s POV like you normally find in multi pov story’s!

3.5⭐️ I am a massive Lucy Foley fan I’ve read three of her previous books and loved them all. I got this book the day it released and sadly it fell a little flat for me. It felt very like the guest list with regards to the setting. The reason I love Foley books are for the setting and characters but this book had a lot going on and nothing new at the same time. A rich girl inherited a family estate and turns it into a health and wellness hotel and the locals aren’t happy. Spooky birds and people from the past turning up 15 years later all to unearth the truth. The twist was underwhelming that maybe because I wasn’t overly invested in the characters. Francesca character was a copy and paste of Scarlett from Lisa Jewell “the night she disappeared”. I love the uneasy / mysterious settings in Foleys books and would have liked to see something different. Foley is still one of my favourite authors and can’t wait to see what she comes out with next but sadly for me this book was a little repetitive.

I really wanted to love this book 😩
