About this listen
A human mob boss and an injured jaguar shifter brought together by a cruel enemy… and fate.
Caden hasn’t believed in fated mates since he was a cub. He figures it’s more of a fairytale that shifter parents tell their kids than the reality of what passes for mates in some of the packs he’s seen.
But then he comes face-to-face with a human man who smells like orange blossoms and radiates authority and safety.
And Caden… Well, he hasn’t felt safe in a long time.
While the rest of the world fears and reviles Quinten Amato and the things he does under the guise of his business, Caden is drawn to him like a cub to an alpha. He doesn’t care what anyone says or what Quinten does, he and his jaguar know the kind of man he is.
The kind who saved his life.
The kind who comforts him when he wakes up terrified.
The kind whose calm commands set his blood on fire.
Convincing his bossy human they’re meant to be together isn’t going to be easy. Especially not when Quinten’s certain Caden needs things he can’t get from him—and that being a part of Quinten’s life in the shadows is too dangerous.
And he might be right.
The Mobster’s Mate is a full-length novel featuring a human with questionable morals and a jaguar shifter who only sees the best in him. You’ll find an age gap, found family vibes, fated mates, and gobs of possessiveness.
This title is a standalone novel set within the Kincaid Pack universe. It can be listened to and enjoyed on its own. However, if you’d like to understand the nuances of the world, then start your journey with The Alpha and His King (Kincaid Pack Book 1).

fun take on a shifter pairing!!
Fast paced and full of information.
These characters and unique and lively. But I wanted more!! I liked that we cut to the chase and get answers to most things but I wanted more of Quin and Caden. More interactions, more connecting, more exploration.
There is so much in and about this world I love and it will draw you in and keep you intrigued. I'm hooked.

Fantastic story and awesome performance
I love Kiki Clark’s shifters so much and this book was amazing - Caden and Quinten are so special together. The heat is on point, the emotions feel incredibly real and the story is awesome. Connected to the Kincaid pack but also new and exciting! Kirt Graves gives a stellar, emotional performance and I can’t wait for the next one!

Dynamic and sweet
Story: a dynamic shifter story with a really sweet dynamic between the MCs. I loved how Caden held his ground and dismantled Quinten’s defenses one at a time.
The author did a great job with world building in this universe and I am glad there’s more to come!
Narration: Very good acting and overall performance. All the emotions were done just right.

Fabulous shifter MM
I love a book I can devour in a single sitting (more or less) and come away feeling fully satisfied. Good plot? Check. Great world building? Check. Well rounded characters? Check. Delicious spice? Check. This one ticks all the boxes, and I loved that it was part of the Kincaid Pack universe but very much independent, so you don't have to have read that series to enjoy this one. As with all Kiki's audiobook's, Kirt Graves does a magnificent job of performance, balancing so many different characters to express in their own individual ways, all whist keeping his deep signature growly tone.

Fabulous
Kiki Clark has once again written a fantastic shifter story. I love Quinten and Caden, and am looking forward to seeing where the new overarching story will take us when we get to meet Liam and his pack in Tempest.
Kirt Graves was, as always, the perfect narrator, and his Quinten is just glorious.

Magic and mayhem
Caden is hurt, trapped and unable to shift.
He's used as a means to hurt Quinten, a human mob boss who's very aware of shifters and magic.
Caden has suffered through some horrific trauma but he finds comfort, safety and peace with Quinten.
Quinten has some baggage of his own.
He's never truly felt as though he fit in with his family and constantly takes on the weight of the world on his shoulders in an attempt to be seen as valuable so that he'll be loved and never abandoned again.
I loved the chemistry between these two and as hard as they both try to fight it they can't help falling for each other.
There's plenty of fast paced action, danger, drama and lots of magic and mystery going on as well.
Kurt Graves did an amazing job narrating and I found myself completely immersed in the story.

A great shifter story
Kiki Clark can write well and create wonderful worlds, a great plot and interesting characters.
You can read this book as a standalone, but will have more fun if you read the Kincaid Pack series first, as one or two of the protagonists appear here.
Quinten finds an injured shifter in one of his warehouses. He feels inexplicably drawn to him. I liked Caden right from the start and would have loved to hug him.
The story entertained me well, there was no lack of emotion and suspense and it immediately makes me want to read the next series!
Kirt Graves narrated this book brilliantly. Very lively with highs and lows and the right voices. I listened to the audiobook in one go and it was a pleasure.

VERY GOOD
I'm a simple girl : I see paranormal, fates mates and organised crime (I mean there's "mobster" in the title) and I'm in!
The book ended up to be a fast and very enjoyable read! A part of me wanted more but since the book is a bridge between the Kincaid Pack series and the author's new series Silver Oak Pack (wich I could tell), I'm fine with what I got.
