Really enjoyed this book
I found listening to rather than reading so helpful whilst pregnant so I could multitask - this is one of my favourite books! The content is great, I love that the author is British too. She provides lots of handy tips and things to consider and doesn’t come across as condescending!

Your best friend during pregnancy
Thankyou so much Marie Louise! I really feel like you’ve been a caring friend holding my hand throughout this entire book. The information you’ve provided has given me so much confidence with my first pregnancy and I now feel empowered in looking forward to my birth. I love your holistic and open minded approach to self care and medicine and I love how mother-centred this whole book is. I have implemented so many of your suggestions with brilliant results. My baby girl is healthy and thriving at 23 weeks and I feel better than I’ve ever felt before. I loved your narration throughout- it felt warm and genuine and soothing. This is a book I will be re listening to many times over!

Really helpful!
Comprehensive, plain-talking, practical, kind. I really appreciated that this was written by a UK qualified midwife because it details the support that is available on the NHS. I also liked that this combines or considers traditional, medical and alternative approaches and is non-judgemental.

So simple, helpful, lovely
I loved listening to this. Listening to Marie Louise read her words for herself made it so much more personal and reassuring. As a first time mum-to-be, who is overjoyed, but also a little terrified, this book was perfect. It tells you all you need to know without overwhelming you. It’s packed with fascinating, practical and heartfelt advice. It will leave you well informed and, perhaps more importantly, emotionally ready to bring your baby into the world.

Brilliantly helpful!
I'm a first time Mum and this audiobook has been amazing and so helpful, informative and interesting.
I've listened to it fully once and I'm going to go back through it and write down key points which will help me get through Pregnancy and birth.

Super helpful
It was a very insightful book that touches upon many aspects of the first, second, third and fourth trimester. Though it didn’t go into immense depth of each stage of pregnancy, I preferred that; it covered different subjects and therefore I felt I could get a better overall understanding of the process. Will be going back to read again certain sections when I need a reminder on particular subject matters.
