Too good for a Christie
I really liked this. Writing was good, Narration was good. But why attach it to Christie and Poirot? Nothing like a Christie novel and even less like a Poirot.

Horrible voiceacting
Had to give up on this titel, as narrator does exaggerated Belgien and Italian accents that takes focus away from story.

A worthy successor
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would - the plot is intriguing and in the tradition of Poirot.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Not particularly - it's not that it moves at a great clip and you feel you have to hang on it's more of a satisfying unfolding.

Much better than I expected
After listening to all the Christie Poirot novels I was expecting something of a lower standard, especially as it's not narrated by Hugh Fraser who does such an excellent job. However I was pleasantly surprised: The narration and writing were excellent, and in many ways I thought the plot was better than many Christie novels (especially ones where she was getting on in years.

Fun but complicated
This book would have been more enjoyable if I’d just sat down and listened instead of having it on in the background- quite a complicated story - lots of twists and turns.
