About this listen

Psychic - check. Badass chick with a sword - check. Able to heal from deadly wounds in an instant - that's me.

But something is wrong. Something for which my years as an interrogator for the Salem Preternatural Task Force or the witches, werewolves, and vampires from whom I take orders prepared me. Someone is trying to strip me of my powers, take permanent residence in my body, kill me one demon at a time.

But I won't let them, not without a fight.

My name is Maurin Kincaide - psychometric, and this is my story.

The narrator does a great job, but I found it hard to engage with this story. Everything happens at unbelievable speed, the story taking place over only a few days. The action sequences are so packed together there’s no time to really care about the characters or the stakes of the plot.
