Summary
"Boy, do I have a lot to learn!" Anyone who's ever picked up a musical instrument of any kind - from the first caveman banging rocks to that little kid at the guitar shop - has thought that. I know I did. I'd been trying for years to break in to the music scene, to show everyone my chops, to make my mark. And I was good. But I wasn't great. I knew that there was something wrong.
"Then the teacher showed up. I didn't ask for him. I didn't think I needed him. And all he said he could teach me was 'nothing'.
"What happened next, you may not believe...I sure didn't...but that didn't stop him."The Music Lesson is the inspiring story of a young bass player and the lessons he learns about Life, Music, and the Life of Music. Throughout this audiobook is new, original music written by Victor Wooten and a bonus performance by the original supergroup Bela Fleck and the Flecktones.

Amazing and inspiring
If you are (or call yourself) a musician you have to listen to this. This is gonna change your perspective on music and life. Sure, Victor is not a writer and you can tell sometimes, but the messages given here are solid and inspiring. Great stuff here!

Wow!
This is a truly inspirational audiobook. I’ve learnt so much. It was so enjoyable I’m going to listen to it again. I’m sure I’ll learn even more the second time. I also plan to purchase the physical book, it deserves a prime spot amongst my music books. All musicians need to listen / read this.

An amazing insight
A non music music lesson that doesn't teach you anything but allows you to discover what you look for.
If you are ready, the book is here for you to experience; just waiting, just like music is ready and waiting for you. Give yourself some time and space and allow the lesson to resonate and give your mind something to think about other than notes.

For any musician, just starting or expert!
This was a very entertaining and enlightening listen from one of the best bass players in the world!
Presented as a classic student-teacher narrative and narrated by Mr Wooten himself, we explore various aspects of music in a number of creative and challenging ways...
The audio book version seems to be the preferred format as it allows a multimedia, immersive environment to envelop you, enhancing the learning experience :)
I will listen to this book again in future as there is certainly a lot of information to be assimilated and once the initial siren has sunk in other layers will surely reveal themselves :)
Get it now and Enjoy!
