I've loved the Chaos Walking trilogy since reading the first book for the Carnegie book awards. This short prequel sets the scene and provides context for Viola and what she went through. We aren't able to hear Viola's thoughts until The Ask and The Answer, so being able to hear what led up to her crash landing, and hearing her own narrative is lovely.
It's only 53 minutes long, the first of three short stories Ness wrote within the Chaos Walking world, and well worth a listen.
