About this listen
Ambushed and drugged, Evan Smoak wakes up in a locked room with no idea where he is or who has captured him. As he tries to piece together what's happened, he receives a desperate call for help. With time running out, he will need to out-manoeuvre a powerful opponent to have any chance of escape. He's got to save himself to protect those whose lives depend on him...or die trying.

Indestructible man!!!
Great story with terrific pace and so many twists and turns to make the reader dizzy . Alas the hero appears superhuman at times which stretches credibility but to be honest doesn't make the story farcical. Very enjoyable read and I'm sure there's another story to come

Addicted to Orphans
If you’re in the mood for a romp through the underworld accompanied by a bunch of highly trained assassins and gloriously dreadful baddies then this hits all the spots. Love Scott Brick’s unhurried narration. Lacks the tongue in cheek humour of Lee Child but makes up for it in ingenuity and gadgetry. Great fun. Holiday read.

Superman eat your heart out!
Our protagonist is Batman, Superman and maybe Captain America all rolled into one. Noone else could take the punishment our hero does.
The Nowhere Man answers his phone and rushes out to help those who are in need. He does this as penance for having been a government sanctioned hitman in the past.
A good romp if you like this genre. I do!

On to book 3
I enjoyed the first book but was hesitant about book 2, as I thought it would be just more of the same. I could have done with less of the spectacular failures but isn’t that the point this isn’t normal life. Enough of a difference to keep most people interested and I’m even more interested now to see what lies in wait for the nowhere man.

Best hero spy novel I listened to this year
My first Orphan X Book. The best thing about this story was that it had a double arc so halfway the hero could succeed his goal and you would still have another story arc to complete the book. That way you keep the suspense, instead of knowing he has to fail now because you are only half way through the book.
This book has some good values, (make your bed).
Unexpected flashbacks, confusing action scenes require attention during listening and caused many skip backs replays. The dogs jeopardised the mission, is knock out gas real?
I want more Gregg Hurwitz more Orphan X.

awesome!!
second book I've read by this author, not normally a genre I like much - generally I find them formulaic (Patterson etc) but these are good - very good.
