About this listen
If you like Bernard Cornwell, David Gemmell, John Gwynne, and Conn Iggulden, you will love this Viking adventure packed with battles, betrayal, axes, and swords.
879 AD, Norway. Halvdan, son of Ragnar Lothbrok and King of Dublin, is locked in a savage war with Irish Dubgaill warriors in a battle for supremacy of Ireland’s coastal strongholds.
Hundr, a Northman with a dog's name…Viking warships flying the raven banner…and the echo of Ivar the Boneless.
Hundr and Einar the Brawler are drawn into a search for the son of Bjorn Ironside, lost during the war for Ireland’s future. Old enemies seething with vengeful fury emerge to throw Hundr and Einar into the most dangerous fight of their lives.
Hundr must join the war between the Finngaill and the Dubgaill and decide the fate of Dublin. Can he survive brutal betrayal and vicious shield wall battles in this fast paced Viking adventure with striking characters and bloodthirsty action?
The Raven and the Nine continues the unmissable Viking historical fiction saga series, which began with award-winning author Peter Gibbons' debut novel Viking Blood and Blade.

Narrator
I know it’s not always possible to use the same actor but when you have a series of books and you change the reader not just once but twice it spoils the whole feel of everything.

Brilliant!
Long awaited and didn't disappoint. I've been looking forward to this volume with anticipation and as usual it delivered on a fantastic storyline tapestry, brutal battles with depth of plot.

Very good
Another great addition but will say that I wasn’t keen on the last change of narrator and I’m not keen on this one either

I don’t really get what the nine stands for in the title
I didn’t like how you changed the pronunciation of the names of characters from the previous books of series on audible. Great story and had me hooked as old characters were in the story and we got to see how other characters had faired on their own journeys.

Listen to the sample before you buy
Terrible narration. I can barely listen to this dreadful voice which does not convey the grizzly horror that must have been present at the time.
