Summary
In the 1980s and 1990s, the late Terry Golledge wrote 10 Holmes masterful pastiches that perfectly captured Dr. Watson's voice, as well as Holmes’ personality and methods. Mr. Golledge passed away in 1996, before these stories could be published.
In early 2022, Terry’s son, Niel Golledge, reached out to Sherlockian editor David Marcum, who was electrified to read such wonderful previously lost tales about the heroes of Baker Street. Now all of these valuable and sublime new additions to the great Holmes tapestry, once unknown except to a very few, are collected in an important new volume and available to the world.

Lacks Sherlocks usual clever clues and deductions
It’s entertaining and the style of faithful to the canon but the stories lack the clues and deductions that the originals and other followers have better recreated

Great short story collectio
Loved this, Golledge is a true master of the Doyle genre and a sad loss to the Sherlockian world. Great stories all enjoyed.

A bit weak really
Sherlock Holmes portrayed as brilliant as usual but how he arrives at his deductions is not clear …..he just knows better than everyone else apparently…I found myself disliking him intensely.

Quite good
I liked the book except for the constant bickering between Holmes and Watson like they were an old married couple. There was no sark of humour, respect and true friendship as they seemed to want to score points off each other. Secondly the intimidation that Holmes was money driven was inconsistent with true Holmes. Lastly the starting story of Watson having an affair with the lady after the Copper Beeches was far fetched as she had ended the story running off with her Seaman. Overall 4/5 but the negatives spoiled it.

I gave up…
The plot lines are thin, the language stilted and repetitive and the narrator unexciting. There are better neo Holmes stories out there.
