Interesting Times
Few books that try and cover this period in all countries. As such it can feel a bit bitty. Persist and you will be rewarded

Very long and lots of detail - learnt so much!
What was astounding is the trials and tribulations faced by the world inhabitants during the reformation are so similar to the ones we are still facing today 2024. We have ongoing debates and arguments around religion, marching in the streets and a very divided society. It is like this has never gone away and keeps coming back again and again, possibly getting even more ridiculous, superficial and more divided !!!! .....if we can study and learn about history the sooner we may find solutions to world peace instead of repeating the same mistakes over and over again!!
