A very interesting assessment of why Job's suffering is never answeered
Dr Morris was a leading founder in the modern Creationist movement in Christian circles.
He demonstrates how the Book of Job, despite being written in poetic and non-scientific Ancient Hebrew, nevertheless describes a number of scientific and theological principles. He reviews the internal evidence of its antiquity and social setting, and what the book means for us today.
The review process asks for stars for the 'story' - this isn't a narrative story, and some people may find it dull, but if you've ever struggled with reading Job (as I have), this book will bring parts of it alive, and lighten the rest of it. It's an examination well worth undertaking.
Job was a real person, His book records a real series of events and a real encounter in his life with both Satan and with the Lord. There will always be unanswered questions, but much that was obscured by the perception of the conversation between Job and his four miserable comforters can be seen again.
